Cars in German City Discovered Covered with Nazi Symbols in Human Blood, Law Enforcement Confirm

Officers reported they were contacted by a individual who found a automobile in Hanau marked with reddish substance

Approximately fifty vehicles have been marked with what seems to be human blood in the Germany's town of Hanau in proximity to Frankfurt, as reported by law enforcement.

Vehicles, building surfaces and postboxes were vandalized, sometimes with prohibited symbols, they stated in a release.

Law enforcement say they were notified in the late hours on Wednesday night, when a man observed that a automobile in the Lamboy district of Hanau had been smeared with a reddish-hued fluid.

The fluid had been placed in the form of a Nazi symbol, they reported.

Police then found many other vandalized cars and residential walls in the adjacent neighborhood.

Nazi symbols are illegal in Germany under regulations outlawing the public exhibition of symbols from the Nazi era.

Police say initial examinations show the substance was most likely human bodily fluid.

"There is still no clue as to its source; officials are not yet cognizant of any physical harm in relation with the occurrence," they stated.

City officials announced they were trying "to solve the incident" and have requested to the residents for details.

A high-ranking political figure stated the attack made him stunned and had to be resolved promptly.

"This act hits the core of Hanau and revives the wounds of the right-wing violent incident five years ago," he posted on online, recalling the death of nine people by a assailant targeting individuals of migrant background in February 2020.
